The Roman Empire
Jovian, 363 – 364

AE1, Constantinople 363-364, Æ 8.62 g. D N IOVIAN – VS P F AVG Rosette-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust r. Rev. VICTORIA – ROMANORVM Emperor, in military attire, standing facing, head r., holding standard and Victory on globe; in exergue, CONSPB. C 22. RIC 176.
Dark tone and about extremely fine / extremely fine

I always attempted to find the large AE1 bronze coins as they leave the artist enough space to fully showcase his skills. It is interesting to note the remaining silver. These coins which now appear bronze to us were completely silvered in their day. AMP.
