Kiangnan. Kuang-hsü Dollar CD 1898 AU Details (Chopmarked) NGC, Nanking mint, KM-Y145.1, L&M-210A. Herringbone edge variety. A rare early issue minted prior to the cyclically dated types with much residual luster and sharp peripheral details. The larger-than-average chop has left a small patch of flatness in the corresponding portion of the dragon's face.
