Republic Yuan Shih-kai Flipover Error Dollar Year 3 (1914) AU Details (Cleaning) PCGS, L&M-63, KM-Y329. An amazing mint error, with the coin flipped over in the striking process, after the first strike, and struck a second time. The obverse (Yuan Shih-kai's portrait) shows the wreath and value from the second strike boldly presented on the portrait. The reverse has a sharp impression of the portrait clearly over the wreath. The condition is exceptional for this type error and we see no evidence of "Cleaning." Quite rare.
Estimate: 800-1500 USD
