Bhutan Royal Government 100 Ngultrum ND (1978) Pick 4. The highest denomination from the very first Bhutan issue. It is rare in uncirculated grades as Pick 4 is not valued above VF in the Krause reference. This well preserved example grades PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ, staple holes at issue and has serial number A/1 002140. We have offered this Pick number only one time previously. That PCGS 65PPQ graded note had serial number A/1 002136 and it was owned by collector extraordinaire Ruth Hill. It soared to $7050 in our April 2014 Chicago auction. The current note should seriously challenge that earlier winning bid.
