China People's Republic 10 Yuan 1953 Pick 870. One of the crowning notes of Chinese RMB. This note known in Chinese collector circles as the Big Black Ten or Big White Border represented a significant amount of purchasing power at the time of circulation. This example still displays excellent color, with the center orange band still bright. The previous example we've handled was a Very Fine 35 example from the Ruth Hill collection, which realized $28,200. This example is expected to do just as well. PMG Very Fine 30, with some minor restoration noted.
