China Central Reserve Bank of China 100000 Yuan 1945 Pick J45a. A highly scarce and elusive Puppet Bank issue. This 100000 Yuan is the highest denomination of the 1945 issue and is the scarcer of the two types having a Red-Violet complexion with a green underprint. The only other uncirculated example that we have handled for this particular type was back in 2011 where we sold a PCGS 63 PPQ for $3737. The note itself shows fully original features, and if not for a slightly narrow bottom margin, it would likely reach the gem category. Our estimate may prove to be conservative.
