Palestine Currency Board £5 1.1.1944 Pick 8d. An elusive later date, with excellent colors and eye appeal. The piece is nicely margined and faces up nicely despite the minor problems noticed. Though there were later dates reported to have been prepared to deal with the large number of counterfeit £5 notes, none reached the issuance stage, and the 1944 notes were the last date variety in circulation.
