During the Patriotic War Ivan Grigoryevich Fedorov completed 276 combat sorties as a pilot, the vast majority of which were night-time long range bombing runs against military and industrial targets. In addition to the awards offered here he also received two Orders of Lenin and two Orders of the Red Star (further information included in the lot) and he continued to serve after the War both on operations and, latterly, as an Instructor, becoming a Division Commander.
