*Soviet Union, an Order of the Patriotic War 1st and 2nd Class and Order of the Red Star Group awarded to Guards Captain Igor Valentinovich Bagrin, comprising: Order of the Patriotic War 1st Class, type 2 (screwback), no. 926440; Order of the Patriotic War 2nd Class, type 1 (with rectangular suspension), no. 28549; Order of the Red Star, this with number erased; silver Medal for Combat Service (unnumbered); bronze medals for Victory over Germany, Capture of Berlin and Liberation of Prague; and Jubilee Medals for 20th and 30th Anniversaries of Victory, generally good very fine; together with original Order Book dated 1946 recording the first three awards and a mounted riband bar (lot). Guards Captain Igor Valentinovich Bagrin joined the Red Army at the age of 18 or 19 in September, 1939 and was to serve throughout the Great Patriotic War.
