KINGS of MACEDON. temp. Antigonos I Monophthalmos – Lysimachos. Circa 310-290 BC. AR Tetradrachm (27mm, 17.08 g, 12h). In the name and types of Alexander III of Macedon. Uncertain mint in western Asia Minor. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / AΛEΞANΔPOY, Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; akrostolion in left field. Seleucus I Hoard 1004 (this coin), otherwise unpublished. Superb EF, light golden hue around the devices. Graceful and elegant style.
