CALABRIA, Tarentum. Circa 430-425 BC. AR Nomos (21mm, 7.94 g, 8h). Phalanthos, nude, looking at helmet he holds in his extended right hand, riding dolphin left; [TAPAN]-T-INΩN counterclockwise around from right, crawfish below / Taras as Oikistes, wearing himation, seated left on stool, holding spindle in extended right hand, left hand on stool back; to left, dog left, jumping upward toward spindle. Good VF, toned, slightly soft strike, a little off center on reverse.
