THESSALY, Trikka. Circa 440-400 BC. AR Hemidrachm (16mm, 2.66 g, 1h). The hero Thessalos, nude but for cloak and petasos, holding a band below the horns of forepart of bull leaping right, his head facing / TP-IK-K-AI-ΩN, forepart of bridled horse right; all within incuse square with rounded corners. BCD Thessaly II 782 (same obv. die); HGC 4, 312. VF, toned, scratch on reverse.
