LEBANON: French Mandate, 1920-1945, 1 piastre, ND (1941), KM-12a, Lecompte-47, extremely rare type, struck in aluminum, NGC graded AU58, RRR. This is the only example listed on the NGC population report as of November 2016. A similar example brought €3,700 in iNumis Mail Bid Sale 29, Lot 1034. This denomination was normally struck in brass, not aluminum.
