NEJD: 'Abd al-'Aziz b. Sa'ud, 1924-1926, AE ½ ghirsh (4.46g), Umm al-Qurrâ (Mecca), AH1343, KM-2.1, overstruck on Hejaz KM-27, choice AU, R. Occupation issue struck during the Kingdom of Nejd conquest of Hejaz. The city of Mecca fell without struggle on October 13, 1924. Weakly struck on host, with contemporary privately made dies, with somewhat coarse obverse toughra. 'Abd al-'Aziz eventually became the king of Saudi Arabia, where he ruled until 1953.
