EGYPT: Farouk, 1936-1952, silvered AE plaque (38.97g), 1946, 51mm x 34mm, uniface medal by Fuchs, SOCIETE / PHILATELIQUE / D'EGYPTE / 1re EXPOSITION / AU CAIRE / 1866-1946, decorated with ancient Egyptian symbols between, AU, RR. The Expo was a pet project of King Farouk who cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony. The consignor was unable to find any reference to, listings, or sales of this plaque in any metal, and it is most likely extremely rare.
