HYDERABAD: QANDAHAR: AR rupee (11.41g), Qandahar, AH1162 year one (ahad), KM--, in the name of Ahmad Shah Bahadur, several small testmarks, choice EF, RRR, ex Paul Stevens Collection. This Qandahar is not in Afghanistan, but in Maharashtra, India (now called Kandhar), about 20 miles southwest of Nanded. Controled by the nawabs of Hyderabad during the middle of the 18th century.
