Parthian Kingdom. Mithradates II. Ca. 123-88 B.C. AR drachm (20.2 mm, 3.26 g, 11 h). Margiane mint (?). Diademed bust left, with long beard, wearing tiara with earflap, tiara decorated with star / Archer seated right on throne, holding bow. Unpublished in standard references; cf. Sellwood 28; Shore -. crude gVF, irregular toning. Very Rare mint.
Sellwood attributes coins of Mithradates II to only two mints, Ecbatana and Rhagae. This coin's weight and style of engraving indicates that it was struck at an eastern mint, probably Margaine.
