CYPRUS. Government of Cyprus. 5 Shillings, 1914. P-3s. Specimen. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 Net. Previously Mounted, Faded Print.
A very rare Specimen that we have never had the opportunity to offer. According to the PMG Population Report, they have only graded this piece. It was given an Uncirculated grade, but netted for being previously mounted which can be expected on Specimens, specifically the earlier versions that were presented to officials. The other netting defect mentioned is the faded print. That said, this note has very bold black overprints for the date, signature, serial number, and the world "SPECIMEN." written diagonally across the center of the note. The design of the actual note can still be seen, but is fairly faint and does not display the vibrant blue hues typically found on the issued version. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 Net.
