CHINA. Visit of Wang Jing-wei to Tokyo Medal, 6th Month (June) Year 30 (1941). ALMOST UNCIRCULATED.
30.51 mm. Emblem of the Kuomingtang in red, white and blue enamel within wreath; Reverse: Seal script inscription at center, legend around. For the last 20 years of Dr. Sun Yat-sen's life Jingwei was a close friend and associate. After he lost control of the Kuomingtang to Chiang Kai-shek he accepted and became the head of the Japanese government at Nanjing until his death in 1944. With his roll in the Xinhai Revolution he is regarded as having been an important contributor, though he is typically thought of as a traitor in the War of Resistance. Enamel fully intact with attractive chocolate patina. ALMOST UNCIRCULATED.
