FRANCE. 1/2 Louis d'Or, 1641-A. Louis XIII (1610-43). NGC MS-64.
Fr-411; Gad-57; Dupl-1299; Ciani-1615; Droulers-31; DFW-72. "IMP*" in legend. Long truncation on bust. Crisply struck with clashed dies leaving the ghostly impression of retrograde image of the opposite die in the open areas of legends and fields. Despite this a very detailed piece with even the wrinkles of the aging king's eyes full struck up. Full glowing glittering gold luster throughout being uninterrupted by any contact marks or signs of handling. NGC MS-64.
