GREAT BRITAIN. 1/2 Crown, 1821. NGC MS-66.
S-3807; KM-676. A gorgeous gem example from the first year of issue for George IV. Crisply struck with every strand of hair and leaf vein in relief and rich detail in the reverse arms. Translucent russet toning can be found in the peripheries with some cobalt blue hues adding character to the obverse. Mint fresh frosty luster is found throughout and is little inhibited by the toning. Tied with one other example in this exalted grade as the finest certified. NGC MS-66.
