Fr-1479; KM-164; Gomes-69.03. RARE colonial gold issue. Variety with denomination written out in reverse legend, most of which is present and legible. Typical crude strike and manufacture but quite pleasing with nearly complete shield and cross with three digits of date visible. The noted rim filing is barely detectable and detracts little from the overall appeal. Free of any major contact marks and with nice light toning and considerable remaining glittering luster.
