ITALY. Tuscany. Francescone (10 Paoli), 1841. PCGS MS-63 Secure Holder.
C-75a; Gig-20; Mont-325; MIR-448/6. A wonderful representation of the final year for this type. Aside from being one of the more scarce years to locate this example is in a superb state of preservation with no rim bumps or handling marks. The strike is quite good as well with every detail of the complex reverse arms in relief and the outer lettering sharp. Dappled deep old cabinet toning graces the obverse of the piece but is lighter on the reverse which allows for the abundant luster to assert itself more fully with some golden orange and lilac hues present.
