MEXICO. Empire of Maximilian. Peso, 1866-Mo. NGC MS-64.
KM-388.1. Fantastic Maximilian issue with far less handling marks than normally encountered. Slightly weak in centers evidenced on lower ear and whiskers on obverse and lower part of central eagle on reverse. No circulation wear to top of hair which is almost universally seen and sharp outer legends. Struck on very lustrous metal which has toned over with a diaphanous champagne and robin's egg hue. Very desirable and with good eye appeal. NGC MS-64.
