MEXICO. 100 Pesos Pattern Struck in Silver, 1976-Mo. NGC MS-67.
KM-Pn210. VERY RARE. Legend below portrait reads: "PLATA PURA 20 Gr. LET .720". Reeded edge. With the shoulder fold of jacket of the KM-483.2 type. Evidence of light die brushing and polishing showing the process of refining how the design would be applied in the general minting of the type. Fully brilliant and flashing with some light toning beginning around rim and devices. Showing no handling marks of any kind. Hard mirror fields with lightly frosted devices. A very attractive piece with special status. Krause lists a mintage of only 16 pattern specimens and this number may be even lower as there are two separate types presented here which may have been lumped together in that count. Seldom offered and of the utmost rarity. NGC MS-67.
Estimate: $6000.00- $8000.00
