MEXICO. 100 Pesos Pattern Struck in Silver, 1976-Mo. NGC MS-66.
cf.KM-Pn210. VERY RARE. Plain edge. Portrait for the KM-483.1 type but with less of the bottoms of the jacket present and the normal legend replaced by "PLATA PURA 25 Gr." Evidence of light die brushing and polishing evident showing the process of design refinement before the general minting was begun. other tiny details are also slightly different from the eventual design, the collar of the coat shows no texture and the value and date characters are not perfectly aligned, especially evident on the date numerals. Flashing and fully brilliant with no signs of handling. Some light champagne toning on the rim with the vast majority of the surfaces being a pleasing silvery white. Very seldom offered in public sale and an opportunity to obtain a true modern rarity. NGC MS-66.
Estimate: $6000.00- $8000.00
