MEXICO. Emiliano Zapata Commemorative Gold Medal, ND (ca. 1961-63)-Mo. NGC MS-67.
38 mm; 41.47 gms. Grove-P-378. Emiliano Zapata on horseback speaking to farmer standing to side; Reverse: Mexican flag with radiant sun behind with inscription on scroll below. Struck to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Zapata's proclamation of the Plan de Ayala. A RARE modern mint issue with a mintage of just 110 piece struck in gold over a three year period. Sharply struck with lightly brushed dies. Incredibly brilliant with a nice satin luster on the frosted devices. Fully worthy of it's lofty gem grade with no signs of contact or handling to be found. Certainly one of the finest certified and available. NGC MS-67.

Estimate: $1600.00- $1900.00
