RUSSIA. 10 Kopek Pattern Novodel, 1871. Brussels Mint. NGC PROOF-65.
cf.KM-Pn135; Bit-H610 (R1). Struck in copper-nickel-zinc. A VERY RARE pattern issue which never saw production as an adopted design. Seemingly untouched since the time it was struck. The surfaces bear no marks of contact, signs of wiping or mishandling. The whole of the piece has taken a pleasing orange gray hue and practically glows in the light from the booming barely restrained luster beneath. Pair this huge eye appeal with its impeccable pedigree and this coin is sure to be a prized addition to any collection. The only Novodel version of this type so far certified and still tied for finest when compared to the true pattern versions graded. NGC PROOF-65.
Ex: Sodermann Collection.
Estimate: $4000.00- $5000.00
