SWEDEN. Nominating Committee For the Nobel Prize in Literature Gold Medal, ND (1979). CHOICE UNCIRCULATED.
27 mm; 19.86 gms. Bust of Alfred Nobel in coat left; Reverse: Three line inscription within laurel wreath, privy marks below. A more scarce Nobel medal which is only given out at the final meeting of the nominating members of the Swedish Academy which contains only 18 members who are seldom all present at once. Beautiful satin smooth surfaces throughout complimented by the pale yellow coloration and soft luster. Small light copper spot on hair that does little to detract from the overall appeal of this piece. CHOICE UNCIRCULATED.
