SWITZERLAND. Canton Shooting Medals From Schaffhousen to Ticino, ca. 19th to 20th Century. EXTREMELY FINE.
42 medals in lot. From Cantons Schaffenhausen, Schwyz, Solothurn, St. Gallen. Thurgau, and Ticino. The majority are silver, but the minor metals are represented as well. These are mostly early pieces, dated from 1882 to the 1920's, but there are two later pieces, one dated 1952 and another undated but from about 1960. The scarcer issue include Richter Catalog pieces #1059a, 1078a, 1079a, 1080a, 1110b, 1131a, 1139a, 1183a, 1187a, 1199a, 1273a, 1274a, and 1372d - all of which are evaluated as R - Rare. There are 9 Very Rare RR issues; 1198b, 1201a, 1277a, 1282a, 1392a, 1396a, 1397a, 1402b, and 1411a. Some have been cleaned, scratched and/or have other defects.
