MIXED LOTS. Worldwide Modern Coinage, 20th Century. VERY FINE to GEM BRILLIANT PROOF.
33 pieces in lot. A hefty offering of modern silver commemoratives featuring naval themes of ship, shipwrecks, explorers, discovery and settlement many of which are around five ounces in weight. Includes pieces from many member states of the Commonwealth of Nations as well other Asian and European countries with the largest contributions being from Bermuda, China and the Pitcairn Islands. Along with the silver issues is a handful of the following gold coins; 1987 Albania 100 Leke (Fr-23), 1985 British Virgin Islands $100 (Fr-12), 1990 Pitcairn Islands $250 (Fr-3), 1982 St. Kitts & Nevis $100 (Fr-1) and 1992 Turkey 500,000 Lire (Fr-138). Also included is a trio of much older coins featuring ships, the most interesting being a Roman Legionary Denarius of Mark Antony. Nearly all of the modern issues are housed in their original cases of issue and are accompanied by certificates of authenticity and as such bear no detracting surface issues aside from some mild fogging on a few pieces.
