MIXED LOTS. World Medals & Plaques, 18th to 20th Century. EXTREMELY FINE or Better.
25 pieces in lot. Sizes range from 20 to 207 mm, in minor metals and silver. Highlights include a Cuban medal of 1902 picturing Thomas Estrada Palma, the newly elected first President of the Republic; a silver Danish Thorvaldson Award Medal, presented to noted painter and sculptor August Jerndorff in 1884; and a rare bronze 1820 Spanish Box Medal featuring Ferdinand VII, and noting the Constitution of 1820, that unfortunately is missing the enclosed paper rondels enumerating the articles of the short-lived Constitution of the Spanish Monarchy. Aside from a couple of pieces being cleaned long ago and one piece mounted with a loop no major defect to speak of. A premium grouping well worthy of close inspection and will reward the diligent bidder. Retail value in excess of $3,750. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. Average grade EXTREMELY FINE or Better.

Estimate: $1800.00- $2200.00
