Archbishops of Canterbury, Second issue, with Archbishop title, Canterbury heavy coinage (792/3-796). Legend in three lines with bar divisions, barred M with pellet in each curve, pellets in a triangle either side, / :+:OFFA chevron barred A / REX. Rev. Legend in three lines with plain bar divisions. AEDIL / HEARD / ARCEPI. (Chick 247e, this coin; Blunt 136; N 229; S 885). Chipped, toned. Extremely rare. Very fine.
