WORLD COINS, ITALY, Renaissance. Ferdinando Francesco d'Avalos, (c.1530-1571). Uniface Cast Bronze Medal, 1561, 70 mm, 58.5g, by Pastorino de 'Pastorini (c.1508-1592). His armoured and bearded bust left, Badge of the Golden Fleece suspended from sash, small ruff collar, signed .P. and dated 1561 on truncation, DAVALVS MARCHIO PESCARIA, beaded border. (Attwood 608a). Contemporary and superbly cast from a pierced original, even brown patination. About extremely fine.
