RUSSIAN ORDERS AND BADGES, CIVIL WAR AND THE USSR, ORDERS OF THE SOVIET REPUBLICS, Order of the Red Star of Bukhara 1st Class. Unnumbered. 1922. Gold-plated silver. Dark blue enamels. Pinback. Massive multi-piece construction, weighting 38.75 grams, and measuring 74.5mm in width, 71.7mm in height, with center medallion diameter of 41.5mm. Herf 1.24.1 (gold-plated silver). Kuts pp. 163-192. Around 50 pieces were awarded to top Red Army Commanders, including Joseph Stalin. Extremely rare and very well preserved. Among the best survived specimens of this extraordinary and historically important award.
