Brazil Banco da Republica do Brazil 10 Mil Reis 1892 (ND 1893) Pick S671a. Despite the bank's name, this note was actually issued by a private bank operating at the time. As Brazil had a central issuing agency at that time, notes like this only had a small area of circulation, and most were quickly redeemed for specie or official government notes. Hence, any privately issued notes in any condition are elusive today. This example has 3 "SEM VALOR" cancellation stamps on the face, indicating it was redeemed. Colors are still very enjoyable on this solid example. PMG Very Fine 20, small tears.
