BC-11 $25 1935. A stunning survivor of this special commemorative issue that is certainly one of the finest examples that we have handled of this scarce and popular note. It is the only denomination in the 1935 series to bear a distinct issue date, and was the first to be withdrawn, after circulating for only two years. By 1942, fewer than 2000 of these notes had escaped withdrawal and cancellation. This example is well margined with blazing colors and incredible eye appeal. In our April 2014 auction, we sold an identically graded piece for $35,250 and we certainly expect this PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ note, with low serial number A000681, to approach that number.
Estimate: 30000-40000 USD
