Canadian Currency
BC-11 $25 1935. This denomination was not part of the regular Series of 1935 issue, but was printed as a special commemorative tribute marking the 25th anniversary of H.M. King George V's accession to the throne. 140,000 English Text examples were printed, along with 20,000 pieces bearing the text in French. The entire issue was in circulation for only two years, as the Bank of Canada in May of 1937, chose to cancel all new $25 notes and redeem those already in circulation. Of the 160,000 pieces issued in both languages, a total of only 1,840 were outstanding by 2006. This English Text example is graded Very Fine 30 by PMG, which mentions minor edge damage that is merely a tiny paper pull in in the right margin.

Estimate: 3000-4000 USD
