Halifax, NS- John Albro & Co. $1 (5 Shillings) 1820. The first example from this private Halifax merchant to ever appear in one of our auctions. John Albro (1764-1839) was a well known merchant and politician in Nova Scotia in the early 19th Century. All known notes from this issuer have been redeemed and cancelled with the signature area removed. PMG Choice Fine 15.
