Falkland Islands British Administration Government of the Falkland Islands £1 ND (1899-1905) Pick A3r(?) GFI B4t. A number only listed up to Fine for issued notes with a value of $4000 in Krause. The counterfoil at left would have been filled out for when this note went into circulation and reunited when it was withdrawn. The Standard Catalog, which hasn't had serious updates in some time, list a remainder, though Owen Linzmayer's Bank Note Book mentions color trials. We can say that there is a distinct difference between the serial number 1 and serial number B15458 in terms of appearance, with the latter showing printed colors much closer to this note. It's likely that a color change in the middle of issuance would have called for color trial impressions. Either way, these notes are incredibly scarce in this format.
