Germany Federal Republic 50 Deutsche Mark 1948 Pick 7a. The currency reform of 1948 replaced the Allied Military Currency marks. The 1948 issue was printed in the United States under the supervision of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. It was officially designated as "special army currency."
