Portuguese India Banco Nacional Ultramarino 300 Escudos 2.1.1959 Pick 44. A higher denomination issued by Portugal for its interests in India. A solid piece with all original colors from the last series issued. Like all contemporary Indian notes, there is a spindle hole and pinholes at issue noted, as notes were delivered not bound with paper straps, but with staples. However, embossing is heavy and excellent, and evident from the back. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.
