Scotland Bank of Scotland £20 17.9.2007 Pick 126sp Specimen Proof. The United Kingdom Parliament wanted to discontinue production of notes of less than £5 in 1826. This provoked novelist Sir Walter Scott to write a series of letters to the Edinburgh Weekly Journal under a pseudonym.
