Fanning Island Fanning Island Plantation £1 ND (1942) Schwan-Boling 1541b. This clipped note is the left half of the scarce plantation currency used on the island. Located hundreds of miles south of Hawaii near Kiribati. A blue crayon "1/-" is seen on the face, signifying its use as a movie ticket after its initial use on the Plantation. PCGS Apparent Very Fine 20, with mention of some minor rust stains.
