Portugal Banco de Portugal 5 Escudos 8.8.1922 Pick 120. An auspicious date of issue is seen on this early issue from the Escudos system. Though not explicitly said (and having a distinctively Portuguese serial number font), the pastel underprint is reminiscent of contemporary Bradbury Wilkinson products.
