William Pitt the Elder was the Parliament champion behind the repeal of the Stamp Act, detested by merchants on both sides of the Atlantic. This example is mostly walnut-brown but retains ample silvering across the open fields. The sole consequential mark passes through the N in AND. Listed on page 52 of the 2016 Guide Book.
