Colonials
1796 PENNY Repub. American Armies MS63 Brown NGC. Baker-68, Musante GW-61. Bronze, plain edge, 33 mm. Dies by Thomas Wyon. Although unlisted in the Guide Book, this is a well-known Washington variety regarded by many (including Fuld and Rulau) as an early American token. A sharply struck and unmarked chocolate-brown example with blue-green undertones.
