(1800) Washington Funeral Urn Medal, White Metal -- Scratches -- NGC Details. XF. Baker-166C, Fuld 3-C2, Musante GW-70C. The scarce Funeral Urn medals were made by Massachusetts engraver Jacob Perkins, for mourners to wear at George Washington's civic funeral procession in Boston. All examples encountered have a small hole inside the rim at 12 o'clock, as issued. This is a well-defined steel-gray medal with a cluster of pinscratches on the reverse between the urn and the border near 7:30.
