1793 1C Chain, AMERICA, Periods, S-4, B-5, R.3, Good 4 PCGS. Though the date is nearly worn smooth, the period after the Y in LIBERTY is bold, confirming the variety. Generally doeskin-brown surfaces show areas of fresher copper-gold near the margins, especially where rim bumps occur. The mildly abraded reverse shows a degree of peripheral weakness, but the chain remains bold. Our EAC grade AG3.
