Large Cents
1793 1C Chain, AMERICA, Periods, S-4, B-5, R.3, VG8 PCGS. Breen Die State II, with two die cracks that begin at the border about 7:30, one extending inward toward the lower hair curls, and the other extending downward along the border toward the date. Both of these cracks are obscured by extremely light surface roughness on this cent. Both sides are pleasing in appearance with intermingled chestnut and walnut-brown toning. The obverse has a bold LIBERTY and period, with a weak date and outlined bust. The chain on the reverse is typically sharp with weak legends. Our EAC grade Good 5.
